Y'all check on your law school friends. The bar is soon they are not okay
Evidence: my husband forgot what day it was last week and I received a text that said “why the fuck did no one tell me it was Friday?”
T minus 6 days until the bar and my husband just walked in a circle around the house for 15 minutes yesterday saying “I do not know the things” and ‘stop. Stop dying. Wills are too confusing everyone stop dying"
Update : “ everyone just fucking stop owning things. property is stupid and no one understands it. just stop. move to the woods. be free. ”
2 months ago I got an assignment on ADHD in Psychology. It’s due tomorrow and I have written one paragraph…
I had to write an email to my professors in my final year asking for an extension on an essay about adhd because of my adhd.
It began: “So I’m aware of the irony here…”
Just revisiting this to point put that they did give me an extension. I handed in the assessment, did pretty well on it, and the professor I most respected in the university (who ran the class) never said a word about it to me.
It turns out they didn’t care at all about the extended deadline, just that I was trying and that I gave them a heads up when I needed help.
Remember to ask for help when you need it, even if it makes you feel a little silly. Ask early if you can so that the people you’re asking have time to think about a response/plan of action, but if you find yourself stressing out 24hours out from a deadline still just ask.
This has been one of the hardest and most important things I have learnt over the last 10 years.
Ask for help. Ask early. Even if it’s scary.
You are not a burden.
You are not dumb.
You are not expected to already just “know” everything.
Needing help does not make you weak and asking for help makes you incredibly strong.
A few points here that bear repeating:
“Ask for help.”
“Ask early.”
“Even if it’s scary.”
And finally, and perhaps most importantly…
“Needing help does not make you weak and asking for help makes you incredibly strong.”
on my bus ride home (i’m going home for passover) there was a lil old orthodox jewish man and his DOG had a kippah and tallis!!! so i asked where he got kippot for dogs, and he was like “i ordered it online!! it’s her 13th birthday so we’re throwing her a Bark Mitzvah!!!”
Today the lady behind me in line at the grocery store checkout politely tapped my shoulder and when I turned around she motioned toward my giant bundles of kale and asked: “what do you do with your kale? Do you cook with it, or make juice, or…?” And i admitted there in front of god and the world “oh I feed it to my peacocks.” And she just looked so taken aback that I said “I’m sorry that’s not the answer you were hoping for”
And that’s how I learned other people don’t really know what to do with kale either. We’re all pretty sure it’s edible, though.
People are sending me kale recipes like they honestly believe I will try to eat bird food
I’m sorry I’m hung up on the part where op owns peacocks
Purple ones:
And peahens. This one sleeps on a fluffy rainbow unicorn stuffed animal:
Her name is Artemis and she’s allergic to food.
This is Stan. His color morph is called Cameo so I named him Stan Lee:
He’s Artemis’ boyfriend.
They both love kale. I suppose someone’s got to.
OP Tell them I love them!
Are they good guard birds?
That depends on your definition of ‘guard.’
They won’t defend other birds from predators like raccoons or weasels or coyotes or anything. They’re just as likely to get eaten in those cases.
However, they will harass snakes and other small, novel animals like mice, rabbits, wild birds, etc if they can get away with it. They will also yell at anything they disapprove of including but not limited to:
Your car
Neighbors
that one leaf that moved in the wind
the wind
deer in the woods
a hawk overhead
an airplane that might be a hawk overhead
each other
a noise they heard
a noise they thought they heard
sparrows
seriously, fuck sparrows specifically, they are DISALLOWED, completely intolerable, must chase off, shake train, and/or yell about it
that one kiwi fruit that was up to no good
the feather that fell off their own body and scared them
Is there rly any softer scene than when o'malley sees duchess and falls in love with her at first sight in the aristocats, complimenting her at every turn and climbing into a cherry blossom tree to make the flower petals snow gracefully down on her? How dreamy 🥀💕
This Is Love 😍😍
Not to mention when he found she had kids, he was thrown for a second, then proceeded to not only still help her, but dote on them too.
“Not all men” you’re right, Abraham DeLacey Giuseppe Casey Thomas O’Malley would never.
